Beginning in the 1990's, Western Canada began a tremendous revitalization of its grain handling, storage and transportation system. The Agri-Tec member companies were called on to transform the Canadian system of smaller wood crib elevators, to the dynamic and efficient high throughput facilities that combine increased storage capacity, drying, cleaning and processing now in use in Western Canada. Steel
bin construction continues to be the storage method of choice for many
customers both in new construction as well as to the hundreds of
upgrades and renovations that the Agri-Tec members have completed in
Western Canada.
Agri-Tec provides economical and effective solutions using flat bottom steel storage, steel hopper bottom storage as well as innovative solutions using concrete hoppers to accommodate larger capacities. Agri-Tec member companies have completed over 20 new steel build programs for ConAgra Canada and Louis Dreyfus Canada.
